Insurance Quote Comparison Calculator
Compare two or three written insurance offers. Add payment schedules and separate fees, then review limits, deductibles and coverage notes side by side.

1. Choose what you are comparing
Changing insurance type keeps a separate set of figures for each type during this visit. Reducing the offer count hides Offer C without clearing it.
2. Enter the written offers
Use quotes for the same risk and proposed start date. All amounts are in Canadian dollars. Each payment option should cover the complete policy term.
3. Compare your figures
Enter valid cost figures for every visible offer to compare totals. An unfinished offer is never treated as a zero-price quote.

Monthly equivalent = entered term total ÷ policy months. It is not a quoted instalment. The number of payments can differ from the number of months covered.
Matching amounts do not establish matching protection. Compare insured risks, start dates, exclusions, endorsements and the full wording with each provider. No coverage score or insurer recommendation is generated.
Enter valid values to download or print your calculation. The file is created on your device.
Your figures remain in this tab and are cleared when you leave or reload. No sign-up is required. Download or print a report to keep a copy.
How the comparison works
One-payment total = premium for the full policy term + separate taxes and charges.
Instalment total = deposit + (remaining payment × remaining payment count) + separate taxes and charges.
Difference = an offer’s term total − Offer A’s term total, shown only when every active offer is valid and all policy terms have the same number of months.
Monthly equivalent = entered term total ÷ policy months. It is not a quoted instalment. The number of payments can differ from the number of months covered.
Worked example: the smaller instalment can cost more
Offer A costs $1,200 for 12 months. Offer B asks for a $200 deposit, 11 remaining payments of $95 and a separate $15 charge. Offer B totals $1,260: $60 more than A. The $95 instalment alone does not describe the full price. These are arithmetic examples, not market rates.
What the tool does not infer
The tool uses the figures you enter. It does not fetch insurer quotes, apply tax rates, infer discounts or annualize a short policy into a future renewal. Coverage amounts are compared numerically; notes and policy wording need your review.
Common questions
Can I compare six-month and twelve-month policies?
You can record both terms and their monthly equivalents. The tool hides direct price differences when the lengths differ. Ask for matching periods before using the figures to choose between policies.
Does the lowest total mean the best coverage?
No. Limits, deductibles, covered risks, exclusions and service can differ. Use the coverage rows and notes to identify questions, then confirm the answers in the written documents.
Can I save the comparison?
Use the text download or report preview below the result. The report includes every active offer, omitted amounts and the calculation assumptions. Your browser can save the print view as a PDF if it provides that option.
