Treatment protocols are not the same as a liability settlement

The protocols concern access to diagnosis and treatment for specified injuries. They do not decide fault, pain-and-suffering damages or every other benefit issue arising from a collision.

The automobile policy can be the primary payer for protocol treatment

The 2024 reform removed the previous need to exhaust private health insurance first for eligible protocol treatment. This is a claims-process rule, not a premium estimate.

Use current forms and medical guidance

Treatment eligibility, practitioner documentation and billing requirements depend on the current regulations and insurer process. Consumers should use up-to-date provincial and insurer materials after a crash.
